I wonder if
real art
comes when
you build the thing
that
they don't have
a prize for yet.
Seth Godin
A human being
has so many skins inside, covering the
depths
of the heart.
We know so many things,
we don't know
ourselves!
Why, 30 or 40 skins or hides,
as thick and hard
as an
ox's or bear's,
cover the soul.
Go into your own ground
and learn to
know
yourself there.
Meister Eckhart

Tips for diving into your SoulCollage® cards
- Think of a card right now. Let it choose you.
- Now think of a second card. You choose it.
- Ask each card, what do you think I should do right now? Right now this minute?
- Don't write anything down. Get used to partnering with your cards any time.
- Now for a bonus, ask them what advice they have for each other.
See if you can feel the photosynthetic like feeling of growth take root in you as you reach for the sun.
In this case, the "sun" is consciousness. . . .
You. . . The Soul

Hello,
Has Spring come to your yet? Here in Portland blossoms are bursting out everywhere.
Perhaps the seeds inside us are reaching for the sun, our inner buds wanting to open. We feel that longing to grow and move, to renew, reach out, to push our heads out from the moist comfort of the earth..
I'm sending a second email this month to let you know about a SoulStudio on Saturday the 20th if you have time to nurture your inner garden.
And if you're contemplating the
SoulCollage ® Facilitator Training, you can save $100 by registering before Sunday March 21.
Fondly,
Suzie

The Abode of the Soul - Part One
Imagine you are walking. It's been a long journey. You wonder if you've made a mistake setting off on this journey.
You see a little wooden sign that says "Abode of the Soul." An arrow points down a narrow wooded lane. It looks more inviting than the miles stretching ahead to the horizon. So you set off down the road relieved to have a more clear destination.
But then your mind starts questioning. "What if this is a trap?" "What if this takes me off course?" What if it's the wrong road? "What if I can't do this?" Yet you continue walking. Something beckons.
Though you've been walking through a lovely pine forest, the day is starting to darken. You hear rustling behind you. Replacing the self doubt, your mind tells you to bolt, "Run! Danger! Don't look back!"
You berate yourself for ever setting off on this journey and remember with fondness the numb security of knowing what was likely to happen next. Yet something in you urges you to keep walking. After all, the sign said "Abode of the Soul." Just then, a little mouse runs across the path, and she reminds you to attend to the small things, to find safety in the earth, where your feet are planted.
You've just passed the first test on the road to the Abode of the Soul: Self Doubt and Fear.
Psychotherapy and SoulCollage® helps us take that journey into the Abode of the Soul.
You may flirt on the outskirts of the Abode. If you use SoulCollage®, you might collect images, show people your cards. Maybe you make cards. It's fun, relaxing. You have some insights. And yet you sense there is more.
Perhaps you take an in-depth workshop, start psychotherapy or take part in a group and start to see deeper wisdom.
But like most of us, you both long for and fear deeper connections. You want authenticity but clean the bathroom instead. Why?
Because it means you might be making some changes!
Consciousness invites us to follow that road toward the Abode of the Soul. The analytical mind does not know where it will lead. The mind might even have to take a back seat to the Soul and lose some of it 's power.
If you'd like to take another step on that road, I'll be offering a SoulCollage® SoulStudio on Saturday the 20th from 2 - 5 :00 PM
And if you're contemplating an even bigger step, the SoulCollage ® Facilitator Training is coming up in April. Early registration deadline is March 21.
