Ebonie Sparks
Ebonie Sparks is an experienced psychotherapist, offering 15+ years of clinical practice. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Addictions Counselor. Ebonie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2003, as well as her Master of Social Work degree in 2007 from The Ohio State University.
Ebonie operates from an empowerment perspective and believes that all individuals have the right to live the life they desire and experience the fullness of a whole and unified self. Ebonie uses the therapeutic alliance to promote healing, and to assist individuals in employing practical strategies to cope with troublesome symptoms and stressors.
Ebonie utilizes a strengths-based approach and often integrates Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques. Ebonie is also trained in EMDR and recognizes the importance of resolving trauma in the healing process, whenever one is ready to do so. Ebonie looks forward to collaborating with her clients and being able to see them achieve their goals.
