I am a first generation Latina-American. I am the first person in my family to graduate from college. I hold a B.A in Psychology with a minor in Special Education from the California State University, Northridge. I hold a Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in Psychiatric Social Work and Transitional Age Youth from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. I completed my internship with Los Angeles County Mental Health and Los Angeles County Probation. I grew up in the inner city of Los Angeles, California. I am a native Spanish speaker. I have a deep understanding of the obstacles faced by minorities in this country. I am deeply rooted in social justice and equality. I strive to break the stigma of mental health in the minority community. I believe we all come from circumstances and that we all deserve a chance to be successful in life.
My treatment style is rooted in psychodynamic theory and focused on building trust and authentic rapport with individualized client needs. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, languages and cultures. I know how difficult it is to find a Bilingual Bicultural therapist but I am here to be of help and support. I provide a range of psychological services, including: individual, adolescent, and adult psychotherapy – group therapy, and substance abuse assessments and treatment.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oregon. I have over 10 years of experience as a Psychiatric Social Worker working with youth and adults. My major course work included Psychiatric Social Work and Mental Health theory and practice, Social Justice advocacy and reform, diagnostics and assessments and alcohol and drug treatment with youth, adults, family systems and groups.
