Do you wish to make changes in your life? People team with me to live more fully: with enthusiasm, passion and greater satisfaction. As your therapist, I offer you presence that is non-judgmental, caring and compassionate. Everyone deserves to have someone who is fully present with them. I am an insightful listener, and will meet you where you are at, in whatever moment you are in. As we partner together, we can navigate the barriers to achieving your personal goals and aspirations.
In my therapy practice, I consider all aspects of a client’s life – their family and relationships, their culture and ethnicity, their spirituality and health, their profession and activities. I believe in integrating many different philosophies into my practice to best suit the needs of my client. I have traveled extensively and also bring cultural competence to my practice, open to both Eastern and Western philosophies of treatment. In addition to my Masters in Social Work, my clinical education includes holding certificates in gender violence intervention as well as trauma informed care. I have completed EMDR 1 and 2 training, Emotional Freedom Technique (“tapping”) and 200hr yoga and social justice training . I have experience working with individuals, couples, groups and adolescents in a variety of settings and have helped clients through a assortment of issues including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, abuse, grief, suicide, marital trouble, life transitions, trauma, substance abuse and foster care. Overall, my approach is collaborative and compassionate, respectful and honest, creative and hopeful.
In addition to talk therapy we may chose to integrate mindfulness, yoga, EFT and EMDR.
