Amanda Whelen
Welcome, I am so happy you are here!
As a therapist, I am dedicated to providing exceptional care for clients who are experiencing difficulties with a wide range of mental health disorders as well as co-occurring substance use disorders. I provide therapy that encompasses a variety of theoretical orientations that are specifically utilized in order to provide the best care for wherever you are today, in the here and now. I primarily use a humanistic, strengths-based approach with elements of existentialism, cognitive behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy to assist clients in building the foundation of skills needed to fulfill their goals, make meaning, and live their most fulfilling lives.
A key component of my work is also incorporating the life experience of each individual and how this is affected by larger social systems and structures. I am trained in providing trauma-informed care and am affirming all identities and relationship compositions. I look forward to assisting you on your therapeutic journey and creating a space that is uniquely yours.
