There is a crack in everything. That is how the light gets in
I am a relational therapist who believes that the power of connection, compassion, and trust are the foundations of healing. I strive to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, validated, and can show up as your authentic self in order to take that first courageous step of seeking change in your life. I believe that no matter what your struggle is, at your core there is an innate wisdom and light that together we will find the way back to.
Through gentle curiosity of your story and experiences, I empower my clients by tapping into resilience and building upon your strengths to cultivate transformation. I view my clients through a lens of unconditional positive regard. Together we will navigate the challenges that you face to create a road map to your best, wisest, and brightest self. While I customize my therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of my clients, my healing style is rooted in somatic and mindfulness based practices that will bring you into connection with your mind, body, and spirit.
My healing framework draws from the following modalities:
I am often told by those I work with that I am down to earth, calm, and have a good sense of humor. I work primarily with older teens and adults. I welcome all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, gender expressions, sexual orientations, socio-economic status, and cultural backgrounds. Drawing from my lived experience as a bi-racial person of color, I offer culturally responsive counseling for those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a Person of Color.
I have 25 years of practice wisdom and expertise that I have drawn from a variety of settings serving clients of all ages across the lifespan in non profit, child welfare, community mental health, school, hospice, and residential settings.
Master of Social Work, Portland State University, 2008

Having been someone who has benefitted from therapy myself, I understand all too well the courage it takes to ask for support. If you are looking for a therapist who is genuine, warm, and will meet you where you are at with an open mind, please contact Counseling Services of Portland and we will take that first courageous step together. I am deeply committed to earning your trust and would be honored to walk alongside you through the darkness and into the light.
