Jessica Redmond
With a decade of mental health experience across a myriad population, I practice in a client centered style to help support individuals drawn to personal development and positive change. I introduce myself today in hopes you find comfort and hope in the idea of working together. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon (#C6169).
My main guiding point in practice is utilizing unconditional positive regard, which along with your contribution of wanting to make meaningful change can lead to better mental, physical, and other types of healthy functioning. My conversational style is warm and understanding, which can help clients amass self-compassion. The main modalities I practice from are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, though I am an eclectic practitioner and often use an attachment or narrative lens in sessions.
My view of health encompasses many spheres, and I am adept at identifying patterns and helping people learn how to choose best practices for their own life. People I am adept at helping include:
- those who cope by overworking
- oppressed individuals
- people who have experienced life-altering trauma
- and those who find themselves on more of a depressed spectrum of emotions.
